As we head into September we will be holding tryouts for our 2019 Spring Travel Teams.
Along with the skills that players will continue to develop through their recreation program experience, our travel program offers players the opportunity to receive further development through weekly winter training sessions and playing more baseball. Players will have the opportunity to play 12-14 competitive travel games from Aptil to June in addition to their recreation games. They will also have the opportunity to play in 2-3 tournaments in May-July. Playing Travel requires an additional cost & time commitment from the player.
If your player is looking for an opportunity to supplement his 2018 recreation season, we encourage him to try out for the appropriate team.
There is a $50 Travel fee that will be used to cover Travel League Fees, Umpire Costs, & Game Balls for the Travel Season. Registration is required in order to attend tryouts. If you are not selected to a team the $50 will be refunded.

NEW Quickball for 5 & 6 yr olds
MTBSA is introducing Quickball this Fall for our 5 & 6 yr old boys and girls. Teams will be boys and girls together on the same team. This will take place of T-ball. Quickball is a fun, new, fast-paced program to introduce many aspects of the game. Players will not need to purchase bats, gloves, or helmets to participate in Quickball. Quickball focuses on Fundamentals, Hustle, Teamwork, and Fun.
Quickball has been implemented in many of our surrounding leagues and has gotten great feedback from coaches and parents. MTBSA is going implement Quickball in the Fall and then will ask for feedback from parents and coaches before the Spring. In order for Quickball to be successful, it requires a lot of help from parents so we will need more parents to participate in practices. We hope the kids have a great experience with Quickball in the Fall.
